EPEG Polyether Monomer
EPEG polyether monomer also known as ethylene-glycol monovinyl polyethylene glycol, is the primary raw material for producing high-performance water reducing & slump-retention polycarboxylate superplasticizer. In structure, with a vinyl group at one end and a polyoxyethylene chain, makes it highly reactive and water-soluble. This allows to copolymerize with acrylic acid to create PCEs that improve concrete’s workability, strength and slump retention. Specification: Appearance: White/Light Yellow solid Hydroxyl Value (As KOH)(mg/g): 17.2-20.2 pH value:8.0-11.0 Water: ≤0.5 Double Bonds Retention Rate(%): ≥90 Advantage: 1.Superior water reduction and slump retention: EPEG-based PCEs are effective at reducing the amount of water needed in concrete while maintaining workability over a longer period. 2.Improved durability and strength: They lead to concrete with higher compression resistance. 3.High adaptability: They work well with a variety of cement types. 4.Simplified production: In some processes, EPEG can be reacted efficiently with other monomers, requires a very low reaction temperature and can be reacted at room temperature above 5°C without heating. making the synthesis of PCEs simpler.
Application: The EPEG monomer is suitable for producing polycarboxylate superplasticizers with excellent water-reducing and slump-retaining effects. The polycarboxylate superplasticizers produced by this product are non-toxic, non-irritating, and belong to environmentally friendly and high-performance polycarboxylate superplasticizers.
