Diethanolisopropanolamine (DEIPA), a chemical raw material of the alkanolamine family with the formula C₇H₁₇NO₃ and molecular weight 163.21, appears as a colorless or pale yellow transparent viscous liquid.

Application:

1. Core Raw Material for Cement Grinding Aids

As a key component of high-efficiency cement grinding aids, it can significantly increase cement mill output by 10%~15%, optimize cement particle gradation, and enhance powder fluidity.It improves the early and late strength development of cement, especially increasing the 28-day compressive strength. Meanwhile, it reduces cement hydration heat, making it suitable for mass concrete projects.It has excellent synergy with components such as TIPA and gypsum, and can be formulated into low-alkali and environmentally friendly grinding aids, complying with green building materials production standards.

 

2. Chemical Synthesis Intermediate

Utilizing the reaction activity of its amino and hydroxyl groups, it is used in the synthesis of surfactants (e.g., imidazoline-type amphoteric surfactants), suitable for detergents, emulsifiers and other products.As a raw material for organic synthesis, it participates in the preparation of esters and amide compounds, and is used in the synthesis of functional additives in fields such as coatings and adhesives.

 

3. Metal Processing and Corrosion Inhibitor

Used in metal cutting fluid and rust inhibitor formulations, it forms a protective film by virtue of the alkaline buffering capacity and adsorption of amino groups, effectively inhibiting metal corrosion and extending the service life of cutting fluids.Compatible with various metal materials such as steel and aluminum alloy, and suitable for both oil-based and water-based systems, it improves lubrication and anti-rust effects during processing.

 

4. Other Industrial Fields

Used in water-based coatings and ink systems as a pH regulator and co-solvent, it improves system stability and enhances product leveling and adhesion.In the field of gas purification, it can be used as an acid gas absorbent to treat components such as CO₂ and H₂S in industrial waste gas, achieving environmentally compliant emissions.

Storage

Store in a cool and dry place, prevent from sunshine and rain. Shelf life is one year, and after then it could still be available once has passed a chemical test.
