Shiwu Kezhu
Shiwu Passenger Dedicated Railway is the Shijiazhuang-Wuhan Railway Passenger Dedicated Line. The route starts from Shijiazhuang South Station in the north, passes Xingtai East, Handan East, Anyang East, Hebi East, Xinxiang East, crosses the Yellow River to Zhengzhou East, and then passes Xuchang East, Luohe West, Zhumadian West, Minggang East (Xinyang North), Xinyang East and south to the north bank of Wuhan Tianxingzhou Bridge, the main line is 840.7 kilometers in length. Another 39 kilometers of Zhengxi Passenger Dedicated Line will be built. The overall goal of the Shiwu Passenger Dedicated Line is to reach a world-class level. The minimum train speed is not less than 200 kilometers per hour, and the maximum speed will reach 350 kilometers per hour. After the completion and opening to traffic, the driving time from Shijiazhuang to Zhengzhou will be shortened from the current 3-5 hours to more than one hour; the driving time from Shijiazhuang to Wuhan will be shortened from the current 6-9 hours to more than 3 hours. The planned one-way transportation capacity is 80 million people per year. The total investment of the whole line is estimated to be 116.76 billion yuan. The project is currently under construction. It is planned to be completed in March 2013. The freight rate of the passenger dedicated line is 0.40 yuan/person km.
