(1) The molecular structure and composition of PCE water reducer are completely different from that of conventional high efficiency water reducing agent, therefore, the previous experience and rules of compounding with traditional high-efficiency water reducer are not applicable to it. PCE superplasticizer can not be combined with sulfamate water reducing agent, naphthalene based water reducer, melamine water reducing agent, wood calcium water reducing agent and so on.
 It can be formulated with aliphatic high-efficiency, wood sodium, wood magnesium common water reducing agent in the appropriate proportion range.


(2)In the compounding process, adding a certain amount of soluble sulfate and soluble alkali is helpful to improve its adaptability to cement. However, any powdered component should not be dissolved directly into the PCE liquid, but should be made into an aqueous solution and mixed with the PCE liquid.

(3)PCE water reducer have a neutralization process and no neutralization process due to the different production processes,   so that the product solution is divided into two categories of acidic and neutral. This difference is not obvious when applied to concrete, but often makes a difference in the quality of the compounded. In principle, components that are stable in alkaline environments can only be used for neutral PCE compounding, such as baking soda, sodium citrate, dextrin, sodium nitrite, etc. Materials that are unstable in alkaline environments must be compounded in acidic PCE water-reducing agents, such as citric acid, phosphoric acid and sodium pyrophosphate.
materials that are not sensitive to acid and alkali environments can be compounded in both acid and alkali PCE, such as sodium gluconate, sodium nitrate, methanol, and triethanolamine.
Therefore, it's necessary to evaluate the PCE pH value , slump-retaining and mud-resistant before compounding operations.
