Ethanoldiisopropanolamine (EDIPA) is a high-performance alkanolamine organic compound with the chemical formula C₆H₁₅NO₂. It features unique physical and chemical properties and versatile application value, serving as a key material in multiple industrial fields.
Specification:
EDIPA Content: ≥85.0%
Water Content:10.0~15.0%
Appearance:Colorless to slight yellow liquid
Structure Formula:C8H19NO3
Molecular weight:177.24
Application:
1)Cement Chemistry : As a specialized additive for cement systems, it effectively inhibits gypsum dissolution, reduces the formation of ettringite (AFt), and modifies the crystal morphology of AFt—transforming it from acicular to short rod-like. This optimizes cement hydration processes, enhances concrete structure compactness, and improves overall mechanical properties and durability.
2)Cosmetics & Personal Care: Functions as a high-efficiency pH regulator in personal care products such as shampoos and conditioners. It stabilizes the product’s pH environment, improves formula compatibility, and enhances the mildness and usability of cosmetics.
3)Industrial Comprehensive Applications: In gas treatment, it serves as an efficient absorbent for removing harmful components like hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) from industrial waste gas, facilitating environmentally compliant emissions. Additionally, it acts as a corrosion inhibitor, forming a protective film on metal surfaces to reduce corrosion damage and extend the service life of equipment.
