Located in the north of north China, Zhang Hu railway starts east with Zhangjiakou Hebei, travelling west to Huai'an Hebei through Dajian Mountain and the Ancient Great Wall into Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,  passing Xinghe,Jining,Zhuozi Mountain and reaches Hohhot Inner Mongolia in the west, which railway is in east west direction.
